If you’re looking for Paleo Restaurants in the San Diego Area, Head to Burger Lounge! Here’s a Paleo-Friendly burger joint with several locations in southern California that has 100% grass-fed and grass-finished hamburgers that also has organic cheeses and ingredients and was voted Best New Restaurant 2012 by LA Weekly. Definitely check out Burger Lounge.
The Burger Lounge sources their grass-fed beef from Tallgrass Beef, an all-American, 100% grass-fed and grass-finished pastured beef that is pasture-raised, isn’t grown in corporate feedlots like most beef in the United States.
Burger Lounge maintains that their beef is “better for you, it’s better for the environment and it tastes better.” We at The Paleo Foundation and Paleo Friendly would have to concur, there are some tasty hamburgers that are being served up on iceberg lettuce at Burger Lounge, and grass-fed beef is definitely better for you and for the eco-conscious, Paleo consumer.
Extras: For Paleos on the constant go, Burger Lounge also has a food truck not only that frequents popular locations not only in San Diego and Los Angeles, they have partnered with Buster Biofuels and uses reclaimed cooking fuel to help run the unit, which we think is cool.
Though we cannot say with 100% certainty that Burger Lounge will strictly adhere to Paleo principles (as it has not yet been certified Paleo Friendly) it looks promising.
* As of 06/10/13 Burger Lounge has not been certified either Paleo-Friendly or Paleo Approved.
